Hello folks, so glad I found this forum. I have been looking around at used RV's and would like opininions on my best bet. I have about $25k to spend. I've been a camper and RVed with friends and family, but never owned before. We are a family of 6 and will be using the unit for Summer Trips to Washington State from Southern California. Please share your experiences and opinions.

Greetings and hello! We love to see new rver's come in to get thier feet wet. Loads of fun and a great way to get out and see America. It is my firm belief that an rver's first experience should be a grand one. To maximize this there are a few things I would follow. First, keep your purchase realistic and within your realm. Don't buy more than you can handle both financially, and physically. With the parameters you have provided above, I would offer you this thought. Look at class "C" motorhomes between 23' and 26' which will be ample for your needs. Most class C's offer sleeping up to 6 sometimes 8. They are easier to drive and manipulate then say Class A's. A gas coach is recommended as a diesel will surely cost more and take you out of your parameters above. keep in mind when searching that miles on an RV should be considerably less than that of a automobile. The fact is the national average of miles driven per year for a motorized unit is currently around 6,200 a year.
